My goal for this African safari is to introduce guests to the wondrous natural treasures found in this area of South Africa. The lodge, guides, and others we work with all share a common goal to provide your tour in a sustainable way. All of the lodges and reserves in this are of conservancy work together to best protect and preserve the wildlife.
As a photographer, I want my guests to get the really close and exciting animal encounters that result in great shots and great stories. The big lodges that process through large groups is not for me, so I arrange my tours the way I like to travel; staying in one lodge with a variety of day trips available and with a small group of people I can learn from and share my talents with. We get to know an area and are not rushed and wasting days moving from place to place. It is always about watching and photographing the animals then relaxing in a safe and comfortable place.
I have been leading groups on African safaris to this area of South Africa for many years. I, Gregory Sweeney, your host, have a degree in wildlife management and have worked as a Wildlife Biologist/Park Ranger for the National Park Service. I am also a professional wildlife and underwater photographer. My experience in Africa working with the local guides and learning about the area has given me the knowledge to find the wildlife and develop the best practices for approaching them.
I hope you will join me for the trip of a lifetime.
