Africa has opposite seasons to the Northern Hemisphere, so April to May is the beginning of the dry season and their winter.
The humidity during this period averages 36% (no discomfort)
In May the temperature range is an average high of 30°C to a low of 13°C (86°F -55°F) , low humidity and an average of 1 -3 rainy days per month
All our guests will stay at a small, exclusive, family owned tree house style game lodge. They offer personal service and are in the perfect spot: surrounded by their own private game reserve as well as many other private reserves and only 20 minutes from the Orpen Gate of Kruger National Park.
Immediately upon arrival you know you are in an exciting and exotic destination right out the adventure books. The lodge is comprised of seven unique thatched and reed tree houses built around the trees, not onto them. The African naturalistic design using found items and native materials blends with the environment and will put you in the mood for safari and give you a comfortable place to rest after our explorations. Sturdy ramps and walkways connect the tree houses to each other and to the paths which will take you the short walk to the main lodge and dinning.
You will dine and relax in the thatched lounge and tree house bar with an elevated walkway to a covered observation platform. From here you can watch the giraffes at sunset or watch for the bush babies to peak into the bar.
Each tree house features:
The lodge has safe drinking water but bottled water is available on request at an extra cost
